Exhibition “ECO-Expo 2004”

The 3rd Specialized Exhibition of Ecological and Organic Products ECO EXPO was held on 16—20 April, 2004, in Saint-Petersburg. It was organized by Saint-Petersburg Ecological union (SPbEU) under the auspices of

• Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region Federation of Trade Unions
• Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs (Employers) of Saint-Petersburg
• Saint-Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry
• International Green Cross.

Main sectors of ECO EXPO:

• Nutrition: dietetic products, food supplements, hive products, cereals, herbs and plants, fish, meat, dairy products, sweets, juices, waters;
• Natural cosmetics and natural hygiene products;
• Products for house and office: domestic devices, office equipment, air and water appliances, heating appliances, building and paintwork materials, furniture
• Consumer products: natural textiles, clothes, footwear, sportswear, toys, gifts
• Information, Education, Services, Culture: agencies or advisory services, associations, practice centers, editions, institutions, official bodies, public establishments, universities, arts and crafts.

Within the framework of the exhibition three round tables were held. They were dedicated to the problems of preservation and promotion оf health in the context of modern megapolis, actual problems of production and realization of ecologically safe products, cooperation of state and public quality control in order to protect consumer market from hazardous and off-grade products.

During the Exhibition presentations and competitions of producers of goods and services were also held.
